He lives his life in the darkness
He crosses the street with the help of his crutches
Day and night for him are just the same
Despite the shadows he never complained
His fettered heart seemed to be trapped in chain
To see the beautiful world was the thing he never gained
He recognizes things through his sense of touch
He sings with the birds, the sound of music he appreciates much
A blind man reflects an ineffable creature with a sheer heart
For he glances life in its meaningful and deepest part
Us who can see the color of the tangible things He wishes to see
Are blessed enough for we’re not walking in the darkest journey
